Say a Little Prayer for Me

Wow, this last week and a half has been humbling. In fact, this whole semester has been humbling. Moving and starting a new life is never easy. But having it interrupted by a major hurricane and several other not so fun setbacks is really tough. This next week, and possibly the next several weeks, will be true tests of my ability to trust God and persevere. I'm officially unemployed right now, as I resigned my job last Wednesday (that's right, the day before Thanksgiving). It was the right decision, and I'm honestly relieved (though unemployed!!) The details aren't something I feel like getting into on a public blog, but needless to say, WOW, I'm glad it's OVER! I was already in the process of interviewing for another job, and I have a second interview Tuesday. I would appreciate prayer!! Tomorrow I'll be working on applying for other jobs in the Houston area, and praying that God opens the door He wants me to go through. I think I'm okay financially for December, but beyond, that, I'm taking a deep breath and praying again :) It's a frightening feeling, this not knowing what the next week or the next could hold, especially during the holiday season (no Christmas presents, sorry everyone!!) I am desperate for life to become a little bit "normal" again. I HATE not being in any kind of control! But I've gotten to have some fun hanging out with my friends and family while back in town, so that's a positive! I only saw Four Christmases (funny movie!) THREE times! As we head into this holiday month of December, please say a littler prayer for me!!
