If You're Nosey & You Know It...

At my local doctors' office:

Receptionist [that I've never met]: According to our records, you haven't been here in a year or two.

Me: Nope

Receptionist: Do you still live at the same address?

Me: Yep

Receptionist: Ok, I'll just take your driver's license & insurance card & make a copy.

Me: Ok

Receptionist [walking out into the lobby to give them back]: You're not married?

Me: [puzzled & looking around] Umm, no

Receptionist: Huh. I really would have thought someone like you would be married by now. Oh well, you must be just having fun, right?

Me: Yes. Sure - I'm just having fun.
